Name: Leap into the Past
Description: Flying over the Atlantic has always been a great experience for many pilots. Water as far as the eye can see, different procedures, no radar and often bad radio quality. Over the time it's getting easier crossing the Atlantic, but we all love the traditional way with a position report almost every 30 minutes. Gander Oceanic in collaboration with Frankfurt vACC,and the Virtual Toronto FIR bring you "Leap into the Past"!
Get your aircraft ready, the almost classic or the most modern one, and depart out of Frankfurt to Toronto and enjoy the experience along the way! If you need some Inflight Entertainment over the Atlantic, we can highly suggest this documentary film about crossing the NAT.

Crossing the Atlantic is different regarding all other procedures you may know. Because there is no radar, various procedures exist to help ensure safety and efficient traffic flow. Important Information:
- All online flights are recorded with VACARS after online event assignment has been approved.
- All group flight events are flown on the VATSIM Network.
- Ensure you have all charts available for your flight.

- Pushback from gate is at own discretion unless otherwise advised by online ATC.
- Takeoff between aircraft is: 2 minutes after narrowbody aircraft and 3 minutes after widebody aircraft for separation.
